Activity Safety Policy
Please read this before using any activity. It applies to every activity on The Play Rescue.
The Play Rescue is operated by DigitalLearnLab. DigitalLearnLab is the operator, seller and data controller for The Play Rescue.
1. Adult responsibility
The Play Rescue cannot assess an individual child, home environment or material. The responsible adult remains solely responsible for deciding whether and how an activity is used.
2. Choosing and setting up an activity
- All activities require responsible adult selection and supervision.
- Consider the child’s abilities, comfort and circumstances.
- Inspect materials and surroundings before starting.
- Clear floors and provide sufficient space for movement activities.
- Use age-appropriate, non-breakable materials.
- Avoid small parts and other choking hazards.
3. Adult-only handling
Adults should handle cutting, hot items, sharp tools and any potentially hazardous preparation. Furniture must not be used for unsafe climbing or jumping.
4. When to stop
Stop any activity that causes pain, dizziness, fear, distress or discomfort. Any activity may be modified or skipped. Follow written activity-specific safety notes.
5. Emergencies and medical concerns
For any emergency or medical concern, contact an appropriate professional or emergency service immediately. The Play Rescue is not a medical or therapeutic service.
